In selecting HVAC companies for estimating to remove & install new HVAC system Airheads was one of those companies because of their 15 years operation and A+ BBB rating with 5 five reviews and they are local. I called Airheads and they were great asking me specific info to cover my needs of what I wanted to do and followed up with emails. They sent Derrick Derryberry and he is the reason I am writing this review whether or not I decide to accept Airheads estimate or not. This young man had great eye contact, posture, didn't stubble over words, did great active listening. I had him also install a surge protector on my Outdoor system, he explained all that was involved and how he had to change my disconnect box to be able to do it right. He sets a great example of what a service tech should be in communication, skill and knowledge of not only HVAC but all the other things that go into getting a HVAC system to work properly. I would say give him a raise he obviously earns it everytime he runs a call.”

“We asked Airheads to replace the electric A/C-Heater that was originally installed in our house some 40+ years ago with a new heat pump. Ryan and Cody arrived as scheduled and immediately set to work. They removed the old unit, working in very cramped conditions, and discovering in the process that the original unit was installed by someone either unfamiliar with, or indifferent to, proper installation techniques. They installed the new unit, correcting the mistakes of the past when they could, and kept me informed of any unplanned changes they had make (all were obviously necessary, even to my untrained eye). The two persisted in the difficult task and completed the work in the one-day time frame they had specified. Ryan and Cody removed the old unit and cleaned up the area in the house where they had been working. An excellent job by skilled technicians who take justified pride in their work.”

Tuesday afternoon I still had not heard from the assigned service provider so I called them only to be told they couldn’t come out until Thursday or Friday. The problem I have was that I paid $900 for essentially an air duct vacuum and the cleaning of the vent covers. That cost seems excessive. I would like to see a break down of costs that justifies that price.”

“My A/C heat pump failed last evening. I called Airheads early this morning, ( mostly because I had seen their colorful trucks around town and the name stuck). They dispatched the technician, Ryan, who arrived within an hour. He diagnosed the fault, replaced a failed condenser in the outside unit, checked the rest of the unit, inside and out, and declared it good to go. Cool air pouring into the house again, all in less than an hour. It is a pleasure to see someone that obviously knows what they are doing, do it, and answer all of my many questions at the same time. Nobody ever called so I called someone else in area said AC was still good just needed Freon. It’s working just fine. I was being ripped off and had to stay in a hot house overnight and next day until I called other company. I do not recommend Airheads and I am disputing the $89 service charge they charged. I tried calling them to resolve this they never respond. Do not recommend them at all.”
